Terms of Service
Effective May 3, 2026
Who We Are and What This Service Is
The Social Signals ("we", "us", "our", or the "Service") is an information and data-aggregation service operated by The Social Signals (the "Company"). We aggregate publicly available data from sources including but not limited to social media (X / Twitter, Reddit), exchange options data, congressional disclosures, SEC filings, news, and market price / volume data, and surface algorithmically computed scores and classifications about publicly traded securities.
By accessing or using the Service, including the thesocialsignals.co website, the live dashboard, alerts, content posted on our social channels, or any related communication, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Not Investment Advice — Information Service Only
The Service is an information tool. Nothing on the Service constitutes an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, derivative, cryptocurrency, or other financial instrument. Nothing on the Service constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice. The Service does not provide personalized recommendations, does not consider your specific financial situation or goals, and does not establish an advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and the Company.
We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, certified financial planner, or licensed financial professional. We do not provide investment management. Content surfaced on the Service is published in reliance on the publisher exemption to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (see Lowe v. SEC, 472 U.S. 181 (1985)) and analogous state-law exemptions for bona fide financial publishing.
You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions. Any decision to buy, sell, or hold any security or other instrument is yours alone. We strongly encourage you to consult a licensed professional before acting on any information surfaced by the Service.
No Guarantees — Past Performance Does Not Predict Future Results
Composite scores, classifications, alerts, receipts, forward returns, hit rates, and any other content surfaced by the Service are derived from data and models that may contain errors, omissions, or latency. Past performance — whether displayed in receipts, backtests, example flags, or any other format — does not guarantee future results. Securities markets carry substantial risk of loss; trading may not be suitable for all investors.
We make no representation or warranty that the Service will produce profits, avoid losses, or accurately reflect market conditions. Backtested or historical results were prepared with the benefit of hindsight, do not represent actual trading, and should not be construed as a prediction of future performance.
Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (currently Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment provider to charge the applicable fees plus any applicable taxes to your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Monthly subscriptions can be canceled at any time via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access through the end of the period you have already paid for. Annual subscriptions run to term and do not pro-rate on cancellation.
All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for any reason including but not limited to: changes in service features, deprecation of specific data sources or signals, account suspension for violation of these Terms, or perceived performance of the Service.
Pricing, features, and tier composition may change. We will provide reasonable notice (typically at least 30 days for material changes) to active subscribers via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or expose the Service or any data displayed by the Service to third parties without our prior written consent.
- Scrape, crawl, mass-download, or use automated tools to access the Service except via API endpoints we explicitly designate for that purpose.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the underlying algorithms, source code, or model weights powering the Service.
- Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right, including but not limited to securities laws, market manipulation statutes, intellectual property rights, and privacy rights.
- Share account credentials. Each subscription is for a single individual user.
- Attempt to interfere with, disable, or circumvent any security or rate-limiting mechanism.
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these provisions, with or without notice and without refund of any prepaid fees.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, scoring algorithms, classification taxonomy, dashboard interface, brand marks, and original written content, is owned by the Company and protected by copyright, trademark, and trade secret law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Service for personal, non-commercial use only, subject to these Terms.
Underlying market and reference data is licensed from third-party providers and remains their property. Tweet content surfaced on the Service is the property of the original posters and / or the platforms on which it was posted.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, uninterrupted operation, error-free service, and that the Service will meet your requirements or produce any particular result. We do not warrant that data displayed is current, complete, or free from errors introduced by upstream providers.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE COMPANY OR ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION TRADING LOSSES, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOST GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you actually paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to liability, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, including contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) your trading or investment decisions.
Arbitration and Class-Action Waiver
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved through good-faith informal negotiation will be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will take place in Delaware, USA, or by video conference at the arbitrator's discretion. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You and the Company each waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative action of any kind. Disputes will be resolved on an individual basis.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any matters not subject to arbitration under Section 10 will be litigated exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
Modifications and Termination
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Effective" date. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice to active subscribers. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. On termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including without limitation Sections 7 (Warranties), 8 (Liability), 9 (Indemnification), 10 (Arbitration), and 11 (Governing Law) — will so survive.
Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
